Catherine Corman is the editor of Joseph Cornell's Dreams and Daylight Noir. Her essay on Cornell and silence is anthologized in Sound Unbound (MIT Press, 2008.) Her book of photographs, Daylight Noir, was published by Charta Art Books in Fall 2009. She has been invited to lecture on art history at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in NYC, the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, The New School for Social Research, Sarah Lawrence College, and Anthology Film Archives. Her photographs, sculptures and collage films have been exhibited at Harvard's Fogg Museum, the United Nations, the National Arts Club, and various galleries in New York City, including Exit Art, Participant Gallery, Zieher Smith and Artists' Space. She was educated at Harvard and Oxford Universities and lives in New York City.
